'Harlyn Pier'
The layout depicts the terminus of an imaginary (ex LSWR) branch line on the north coast of Cornwall not far from Padstow in the BR period circa 1960. The station is set on a quayside that connects to a ferry service from the adjacent dock, similar to the arrangement at Lymington Pier, which was the inspiration for the layout. The trackwork is all hand built from TimberTracks / C&L / Exactoscale components with the majority of the buildings being scratch built and based on examples from the Cornwall or Devon area. The signals and level crossing gates are all operational and interlocked with the points. Click on picture to visit web site |
'Callington'
This layout will be Rob Cottrell's new 7mm finescale '0' gauge layout currently under construction and is a model of the actual station area of the terminus of the Callington branch in Devon. It is currently early days but do have a look at the website as the construction details are most interesting. In a few years it will be venturing out onto the exhibition circuit. 'Newhurst'
Welcome to the new website for Newhurst - an O Gauge Southern Region Layout running in the 1960s era, showcasing the latest in DCC sound, set somewhere in Hampshire. The station is double track, with a passing loop, two goods sidings and a junction to a single track branch. The track plan gives opportunity for numerous and frequent train movements, which is of course desirable for exhibitions. The station represents a fictitious location on a secondary main line somewhere in Hampshire near the New Forest, the name deriving from merging the names New Forest and Lyndhurst. The station is at the junction of a short branch to Bramble Quay, which is also fictitious. |
